Christmas at the Casa

In our house, Christmas is a traditional affair. Things change slightly year by year as the kid get older, but generally there is a certain pattern. Some things come from my side of the family and some from Dave's. And the rest of it is made up by the kids.

First, we have the stockings. The kids find those next to their bed when they wake up early. EARLY!

After enjoying their plunder, they wake us up and it's time for presents. Chloe is Santa's helper every year. (By the way, the kids were solely responsible for the tree this year, and apparently bling is in.)

Who will get the first present? Is it for Izzy?

Dad gets his present, a webcam.

Something tickles Donnelly's funny bone.

After the presents are opened, the grownups start some serious holiday cooking. Dave made his killer ham. I made candied yams (that only I eat because apparently they're weird) and crescent rolls. For desert we had apple crisp with vanilla ice-cream.
